Thank You for considering Mask U.S. Inc. for the creation of your custom mascot. We are excited to bring your design to life with you.
What can I Expect what is the Process:
The Creation time frame is 4-12 Weeks. Time can increase based on size, difficulty and amount of detail to your design.
The Process: Following your Mascot
Step 1: your mascot will be hand sculpted by our in-house artist from clay. You will be involved in this process by photographs and/or video to make changes to the sculpture details. Once you approve your sculpture it will be transferred to the mold making department.
Step 2: from your mascot sculpture a master head will be created. The master is like a reverse or inside out version of your sculpture. This takes time to dry and could take 14-20 days.
Step 3: your actual plaster mold will be created. This can take 5-10 days to dry.
Step 4: your mold will be sent to the casting department. Here it will be formed into a useable quality, long lasting foam head. This process only takes 1 day.
Step 5: your head will make a stop in our preparation department. Here the eyes or mouth and ventilation areas will be cut and the shoulder areas to allow the head to sit correctly on the shoulders.
Step 6: your head will take a quick walk into the painting department. Here it will receive a base coat to allow a smooth finish of paint colors.
Step 7: your head will travel to the furring department. This is when it begins to look like the mascot you have envisioned.
Step 8: you furred head will go back to painting for the final painting of eyes and mouth detail.
From Step 1-Step 8 your mascot body, clothing, shoes and accessories will be designed and sewn during the making of your head.
Step 9: Your mascot will be dressed with all accessories for its first amazing photo shoot. Once receiving your approval.
Finally, your mascot will travel to the shipping department. Here it will be carefully examined from seams to accessories. It will then be carefully wrapped in plastic, boxed, packed and labeled. Your mascot will be picked up by FedEx and ready for the journey with the next stop arriving at your ship to location.
And then...............................You will be overflowing joy and living happily ever after.
Custom mascots require a lot of time, employee hours, design and materials. For this reason, Mask U.S. Inc. requires a 50% non-refundable deposit. Because we include you as the customer in the process and design and we work closely with you to ensure that you are happy with your mascot we are confident to request this deposit.
Custom Mascot Cost: A full custom mascot begins at $4800. This price includes the head from sculpting to shipping, regular body, regular gloves, and feet.
AFFORDABLE OPTION TO A CUSTOM
Mask U.S. Inc. also offers, "PARTIAL CUSTOM" mascots. What is a partial Custom. You provide us with a photo of your desired mascot. We will do our best to locate a head shape that is the most similar to your look. We will then make alterations to our existing head such as cut the eyes smaller, larger or a different shape, change shape of the head by adding foam, color change to eyes, or fur, etc. We will make every effort to make sure you are happy with your partial custom.
Partial Custom Cost: Partial Customs range from $1895-$3500 depending on amount of alterations, details, accessories needed to complete the mascot. Partial customs includes the head created from an existing in-house master head, regular body, regular hands and regular feet.
